Books for children from 10 to 80 years old...
He invented a method that he used from 1935, a time when he produced different books and cartoons, stories and illustrations, in principal "for children" but whose literary and artistic qualities are much appreciated by adults.
British humour, through the work of Dickens, influenced his style.
1933:
- "Moins dix degrees (Minus ten degrees)": collection of comic cartoons on skiing and winter sports. (ed. Delagrave)

1934/1935 :
- Samivel illustrated an adaptation of Gargantua and Pantagruel by Rabelais.(ed. Delagrave)

1938: "Canard, ou le songe d'un jour de neige (Duck, or the dream of a day of snow)".(ed. Delagrave)

- "Goupil", on the theme of the Renart's novel. (ed. Delagrave)
- "Brun l'Ours (Brun the bear)", on the theme of Renart's novel (ed. Delagrave)
- "Les malheurs d'Ysengrin (the misfortunes of Ysengrin)", chantefable (a sung story), (ed. Delagrave)
Naïve art, refreshing style, Brueghel style graphics, these are the characteristics of this series.

- The fairy tale of the "Grande Nuit de Merlin (Great night of Merlin)", fantasy story in 7 tableaux in forme théâtrale. (ed. I.A.C.)
1944 :
- Fables de la Fontaine, selection of fables enhanced by Samivel's illustrations (ed. I.A.C.)
- "La complainte de la baleine et de Monsieur Jonas (The lament of the whale and Mr Jonas)", text in simple verse with black and white drawings, a parody of popular stories of the 14th century. (ed. I.A.C)
1946 :

The creation of the "eskimo" world as seen by Samivel, an original story, illustrations by the author. Carried out on his return from Greenland, first French polar expedition (1948) led by Paul-Emile Victor.
