1948 Samivel made four films in 16 mm during the first French Polar Expedition to Greenland in 1948 (mission led by Paul Emile Victor).

In 1949 he made a 16 mm black and white film on the prehistoric cave paintings of Mont Bego in the Alps-Maritimes: "Montagne des merveilles (Mountain of marvels)".
Before the war
Samivel personally made (production and commentary) two films in 35 mm
- "Aiguille Verte". Film on the preparation of the First French Expedition to the Himalayas
- "Trente Petits Skis (Thirty small skis)". Film on children and skiing
1956 In 16 mm, colour, enlarged to 35 mm
- "Grand Paradis", (Gentiane d'Or, 1st International prize at the Film Festival for the film Montagne de Trente, awarded a prize by the French Association of Friends of the Cinema), film on the wildlife of the Alps.
- "Jungle de l'herbe (Jungle of the grass)" (Quality award from the National Centre of French National Cinema), on the strange life of insects.
- "Jardin de la mer (Garden of the sea)" (Quality award from the National Centre of French National Cinema), a short film on low tide in Brittany.
